Trading risk
Contracts for difference, spread bets, margined foreign exchange and similar leveraged products carry a high risk of losing money rapidly. A majority of retail investor accounts lose money when trading these products with the providers that publish such figures. Losses can exceed deposits where negative balance protection does not apply. Past performance tells you nothing reliable about future results.
Prop firms and funded accounts
Evaluation fees are generally non-refundable, most participants do not pass, and payouts depend on rules that the firm can change. Several such firms have closed while holding client money. Treat an evaluation fee as money you may not see again.
Accuracy and jurisdiction
Costs, leverage limits and account terms change frequently and differ by country and by entity. We record the date on which each figure was checked, but you must confirm current terms with the provider and with your own regulator before acting. Some products described here are restricted or unavailable where you live.
